Hi I’m Casey and I’m from Mililani and I’m a junior and a Secondary Eduction major in English at the University of Hawaii. I want to become a teacher because I care about people and want others to feel cared for. That statement sounds too serious though. Really, I’m just a clown who enjoys being around other people and seeing others happy. Also, I do alright and enjoy most of my english classes. Put that together and bang future english teacher. In my free time, I’m usually watching sports or playing xbox with my friends. I get to travel a lot because of my Dad’s airline benefits, so I also really enjoy traveling. Overall I’m just a chill person trying to enjoy my life.
On the topic of caring about people, recently, one of my classmates got shot and killed at Ala Moana. Gun control and gun laws have always been interesting to me because of the strong stances on differing opinions but I never really cared about it because it felt so far away. This blog will my my exploration of this.
